The President has appointed Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari as Acting Chief Justice of the Uttaranchal High Court with effect from 9 October 2026, following the retirement of Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta on 8 October 2026.

On 23 September 2026, the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended 11 Additional Judges for appointment as Permanent Judges of the Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Uttarakhand High Courts.
The President has reappointed Shashi Prakash Singh, Krishna Nandan Singh and Satyapal Jain as Additional Solicitors General for the Allahabad, Patna, and Punjab and Haryana High Courts, respectively, with effect from 1 October 2026.
The President has appointed 30 persons as Judges and Additional Judges of the Madras, Calcutta, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh High Courts, including five Judges of the Madras High Court and 25 Additional Judges across the four High Courts. The appointments were notified through separate Gazette notifications dated 7 August 2026.
