The President appoints Justice Nitin Wasudeo Sambre, Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak and Justice Puthichira Sam Koshy as Acting Chief Justices of the Delhi, Gujarat and Telangana High Courts under Article 223 of the Constitution.
The President has appointed Justices Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, Sunita Agarwal and Aparesh Kumar Singh as Judges of the Supreme Court, following the Supreme Court Collegium’s recommendations dated 28 September 2026.
“Learned counsel, in unison, have expressed their concern about the reported incident and have categorically stated that such incident, if it had occurred, not only threatens security the individual lawyers practicing in the Courts, but also erodes the dignity and propriety of the proceedings of the Courts.”
Once arbitral award attains finality up to the Supreme Court, separate civil suit challenging underlying transaction on grounds of fraud is barred by Section 5 of the Arbitration Act and principles of finality.
