The Collegium recommended the appointments for the High Courts of Chhattisgarh, Gauhati and Orissa.
At present, the Madras High Court has a working strength of 52 judges including Chief Justice.
As of 1 May 2026, Calcutta High Court has a working strength of 42 Judges and there are 30 vacancies.
The Collegium led by CJI Surya Kant recommended 13 names out of which 4 women were also recommended for judgeship.
