Background:
The order follows deliberations held on 23-5-2025 between the Department of Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs and the Hon’ble Committee of the Delhi High Court, which was constituted to address infrastructure and staffing needs for the judiciary.
One of the major concerns raised was the need to increase the number of Law Researchers and enhance their remuneration to reflect the growing complexity of legal proceedings and the workload faced by judges.
