The Supreme Court of India announces to launch a Monthly Lecture Series on Law, Justice and Legal Education, creating a continuing platform for meaningful dialogue among the Bench, Bar, academia, experts and young legal minds, while also proposing the annual “Supreme Court Nyaya Shiksha Samman” to recognise distinguished contributions to legal education.
The Central Academy for Police Training (CAPT), BPR&D, Ministry of Home Affairs, is inviting chapter proposals for an upcoming edited volume titled “Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: Technology, Crime and Justice.” The publication aims to explore the intersection of law and technology under the BNS, 2023, focusing on cybercrimes, investigation challenges, judicial responses, and innovative legal frameworks in the digital era.

The petition was filed challenging the order passed by the Central Information Commission which directed the Union of India to upload all the latest amended bare Acts, examine the functionality of its E-mail ID, develop an appropriate RTI filing mechanism and to pay Rs. 10,000 under Section 19(8)(b) of the RTI Act to the library of National Law School of India University, Bengaluru.
