About the CCJC Blog
The Civil & Criminal Justice Cell (CCJC), National Law Institute University, Bhopal publishes the CCJC Blog as a platform for meaningful legal scholarship on developments in civil and criminal justice. The Blog follows a double-blind peer-review process and aims to foster informed discussions on contemporary issues in civil and criminal litigation, procedural law, legislative developments, and significant judicial pronouncements.
The Blog welcomes analytical and well-researched submissions that contribute to the understanding of civil and criminal justice in India.

The above list is merely indicative. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts on any subject consistent with the broad theme of civil and criminal justice.
Eligibility
We welcome submissions from students, researchers, academicians, legal practitioners, and professionals. Manuscripts should demonstrate originality, analytical depth, sound legal reasoning, and contemporary relevance.
Content Guidelines

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration with any other journal, blog, or publication.

Manuscripts may be in the form of articles, case comments, legislative analyses, opinion pieces, or short notes.

Authors are encouraged to keep the introductory paragraphs concise while clearly identifying the legal issue and the central argument.

The manuscript should be analytical rather than merely descriptive, and should engage critically with legal developments.

All case laws, statutes, reports, and other sources must be hyperlinked within the text wherever possible. Endnotes may be used only where hyperlinks are not feasible.

Submissions that are defamatory, offensive, or intended to target or harm the religious, socio-cultural, or political sentiments of any individual or group will not be considered.
Word Limit

The preferred length of the manuscript is 1,000—1,500 words.

The Editorial Board may relax the word limit in exceptional cases where the nature of the submission so warrants.

The title of the manuscript should not exceed 12 words.

Font: Times New Roman

Body Text: Size 12, 1.5 line spacing

Footnotes/Endnotes (if used): Size 10, single spacing

Authors are requested to maintain consistency in formatting throughout the manuscript.
Originality and Plagiarism

All submissions must be the original work of the author(s).

Manuscripts shall be screened for plagiarism and, where considered necessary, AI-generated content.
-
Submissions with a plagiarism similarity exceeding 15% shall be rejected.
-
Any manuscript found to contain plagiarised content or otherwise violate academic integrity standards will be summarily rejected.
Anonymity
To preserve the integrity of the double-blind review process, the manuscript must not contain any identifying information relating to the author(s), including names, institutional affiliations, acknowledgements, or any other details that may reveal their identity.
Co-authorship
Co-authorship is permitted for a maximum of two authors.
Copyright and Responsibility
Authors submitting manuscripts warrant that their work does not infringe any third-party intellectual property or other legal rights. The responsibility for the accuracy and originality of the content rests solely with the author(s).
