Centre notifies appointment of 3 Advocates as Judges of Calcutta High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the names of 5 Advocates to be appointed as Judges of the High Court.

On 8-3-2025, the Ministry of Law and Justice notified the appointment of 2 Advocates as Judges of Calcutta High Court by the President of India in exercise of power under Article 224(1) of the Constitution:

  • Smita Das De

  • Reetobroto Kumar Mitra

  • Om Narayan Rai

The Supreme Court Collegium on 25-2-2025 had recommended the names of 5 Advocates to be appointed as Judge of Calcutta High Court.
