Supreme Court: In a plea filed by Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar seeking transfer from Mandoli jail to another jail, the division bench of Bela Trivedi and Pankaj Mithal, JJ. has issued notice, after he submitted that there is a threat to his life.
In August 2022, Supreme Court had directed to shift Sukesh Chandrasekhar and his wife Leena Paulose from Tihar Jail to Mandoli jail in a week. Thereafter, the Supreme Court had rejected his plea to transfer him from Mandoli jail, where he is currently lodged, to some other prison.
The matter will next be taken up on 19-07-2024.
