Varanasi Court: In an application filed by Hindu worshippers seeking the right to worship in the ‘tehkhana’ inside the Gyanvapi Mosque premises, District Judge, Varanasi Court directed the District Magistrate (‘DM’) to make appropriate arrangements within seven days for Hindus to conduct worshipping rituals inside one of the sealed basements called Vyas ji ka tehkhana , inside the mosque premises.
The Court directed the DM to get puja, raga performed of idols located in the southern cellar of the Gyanvapi Mosque, through a priest nominated by Kashi Vishwanath Trust Board and plaintiff. Further, it directed to make proper arrangements for iron fencing etc. in 7 days.
