Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advised Tanjung Buai Ventures Sdn. Bhd., a special purpose vehicle of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia, on its primary investment and secondary acquisition of stakes in Wow Momo Foods Private Limited.
The primary investment was made by way of subscription to compulsorily convertible preference shares (Series D3 CCPS), and the secondary purchase was made from the founders of the Company, i.e., Sagar Jagdish Daryani, Binod Kumar Homagai, Shah Miftaur Rahman and certain other shareholders, i.e., India 2020 Fund II, Limited and William Bissell.
This deal will strengthen investment in India’s food and beverage industry and further augment and expand Wow! Momo’s presence in India.
