On 28 September 2026, the Supreme Court Collegium led by CJI Surya Kant, recommended the repatriation of Justice T. Vinod Kumar, presently Judge of Madras High Court to his parent High Court of the State of Telangana.
The decision was taken in view of his ensuing retirement on 16 November 2026.
Justice T. Vinod Kumar was transferred to Madras High Court on 14 July 20251.
