National Law University Delhi is set to host the 11th Prof. Ghanshyam Memorial Parliamentary Debate, one of the most anticipated events in the debating calendar. The competition invites students from across institutions to engage in high-quality parliamentary debating and intellectual exchange.
This flagship annual event will be conducted in the Asian Parliamentary (3v3) format, bringing together both experienced and novice debaters. The Core Adjudicator Panel this year features distinguished figures from the debating circuit, including Rohan Grover and Yatharth Surana.
Scheduled to take place from 25th to 27th April 2026 at the NLU Delhi campus in offline mode, the tournament is open to all, with a dedicated novice category. The novice eligibility is defined as participants with no majors break and not more than three open speaker breaks, ensuring a level playing field for emerging debaters. Following an Adjudicator Policy of N=N, each team of 3 debaters is required to register additionally with one Adjudicator. Please note that no special experience is required to be an adjudicator.
Registrations for Phase I are currently open and will close on 13th April 2026. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure their spot. The registration fee for this phase is ₹600 per participant. Please note that accommodation will not be provided by the organisers.
With its legacy of competitive excellence and strong adjudication, the Prof. Ghanshyam Memorial Parliamentary Debate continues to be a key platform for aspiring debaters to test their skills and engage with the wider debating community.
