On 5 September 2026, the President of India in exercise of powers under Article 222(1) of the Constitution and after consulting the Chief Justice of India, transferred Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak, Judge, Orissa HC to Gujarat High Court. Justice Pathak was directed to assume charge of his office at Gujarat High Court.
On 6 August 2026, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the transfer of Justice Manash Ranjan Pathak, whose parent High Court is the Gauhati High Court. He joined the High Court of Orissa on transfer from the Gauhati High Court on 21 July 2025. The Collegium recommended his transfer to the Gujarat High Court.
