Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of Permanent Judges for Madras HC and Chhattisgarh HC

In a meeting held on 24 March 2026, CJI Surya Kant led Collegium recommended the names of 8 Additional Judges to be appointed as Permanent Judges.

On 24 March 2026, the Supreme Court Collegium led by CJI Surya Kant, recommended the appointment of several Additional Judges as Permanent Judges for Madras High Court and Chhattisgarh High Court.

The recommended names are as follows:

Madras High Court

  1. Justice R. Poornima,

  2. Justice M. Jothiraman,

  3. Dr. Justice Augustine Devadoss Maria Clete

Chhattisgarh High Court

  1. Justice Sachin Singh Rajput

  2. Justice Radhakishan Agrawal,

  3. Justice Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal,

  4. Justice Bibhu Datta Guru

  5. Justice Amitendra Kishore Prasad.
