The Court noted that several marriages had been conducted by such societies, even of minor girls, in violation of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021.
Madras High Court said that concerning the present economic scenario and the status of the parties, the fixation of the monthly maintenance at Rs. 10,000/- for the wife and daughter is very much reasonable and the same cannot be said to be excessive.
Madras High Court opined that this is a fit case to refer the matter to the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu to initiate disciplinary action against the advocates who performed the marriage.
