10 people file 1 petition. Do they pay 1 court fee or 10? Bombay HC Explains Rule for Joint Writ Petitions

The Bombay High Court has ruled that court fees in joint writ petitions are payable per petitioner where individual causes of action or personal benefits are involved. A single court fee is sufficient only when multiple petitioners pursue a common cause of action.
