About the Certificate Course
Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) invites applications for the Certificate Course on Advanced Courtroom and Advocacy Skills under Project Eyalvathu Karavel.
This certificate course is designed for young advocates enrolled with the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry with 0—2 years of professional experience. The course aims to enhance litigation skills, practical legal knowledge and professional competencies through structured and practice-oriented learning, with a vision to promote pro bono advocacy.
The Advanced Courtroom and Advocacy Skills Course is a one-year, workshop-based, hands-on training programme designed to strengthen the practical skills and professional capacities of young advocates. The course will include interactive workshops, simulation exercises, case-based discussions and experiential learning activities.
Participants will also undertake practical assignments and case-based tasks and will be encouraged to take up pro bono matters relating to relevant legal and social issues, with structured mentorship and guidance from experienced legal practitioners, academicians and subject-matter experts.
A key component of the programme will be community-based legal engagement, wherein participants will collaborate with local civil society organisations to identify and source cases, conduct legal awareness programmes and contribute to initiatives aimed at promoting access to justice.
No course fee shall be levied for participation and certification under this programme.
Eligibility
Applicants must:

Hold a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognised University in India.

Be enrolled with the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on or after 2024.

Possess 0—2 years of professional experience.
