Law Mantra Trust, a registered charitable trust under the Government of India (Indian Trusts Act, 1882; Registration No. 150 in Book No. 4, Vol. No. 3, 603 of 2018), invites applications from motivated and forward-thinking individuals to join its Core Team and Para Legal Volunteer network.

Having successfully completed 13 years of academic excellence, Law Mantra is entering a new phase of growth and expansion. The organisation is seeking individuals who are willing to lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to its academic and legal initiatives.

Positions & Eligibility

Applications are open for Core Team Members and Para Legal Volunteers.

General Eligibility: Candidates pursuing LL.B., B.A. LL.B., or LL.M. are eligible to apply. Applicants should demonstrate a strong interest in legal research, writing, and organisational work, along with a willingness to take responsibility and contribute actively.

Roles & Responsibilities

Selected candidates will engage in a range of academic and organisational activities. These include writing analytical content on judgments and contemporary legal issues, participating in legal awareness and rights-based initiatives, and assisting in Online Legal Aid Clinics.

Additionally, members will contribute to organising national and international seminars and conferences (primarily in virtual mode), work on books, blogs, and academic publications, and actively contribute ideas aimed at expanding Law Mantra’s reach and impact.

Editorial & Publication Team (Specialised Role)

For the Editorial & Publication Team, applicants must have completed an LL.M. and possess a strong command over legal writing and analysis. Candidates should have demonstrable experience through quality publications such as research articles, papers, or books. Prior experience in editing and academic writing will be preferred.

Selection Process

The selection process is structured in four stages. The first stage involves application screening, where the candidate’s CV and Statement of Purpose (SOP) are evaluated with a focus on intent, ideas, and commitment.

In the second stage, candidates are shortlisted based on their experience, SOP quality, and alignment with Law Mantra’s vision. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited for a virtual interview to assess their communication skills, legal understanding, and initiative.

The final selection will be based on overall performance, with preference given to candidates demonstrating leadership potential and innovative thinking.
