SWASTHYA—MANTHAN 2026: HPNLU Shimla to Host National-Level Youth Festival & Conclave

HPNLU Shimla will host SWASTHYA—MANTHAN 2026 on 12—13 September 2026 under the theme “Harnessing Youth Leadership for a Healthier Tomorrow”, bringing together young leaders for a national-level festival and conclave focused on youth-led approaches to health and wellbeing.

About the Organiser

The Youth Red Cross, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla is organising SWASTHYA—MANTHAN 2026 as a two-day national-level youth festival and conclave aimed at bringing together students from higher educational institutions across India for meaningful engagement with contemporary questions of health, social responsibility and community participation.

About SWASTHYA—MANTHAN 2026

SWASTHYA—MANTHAN 2026 seeks to create a youth-led platform for health awareness, HIV/AIDS awareness and stigma reduction, voluntary blood donation, social responsibility and community engagement. The event combines creative competitions and advocacy-oriented activities on the first day with an intellectual Youth Conclave on the second day.

The initiative is designed to encourage young people to engage with public health not merely as an institutional concern, but as an area requiring informed leadership, social awareness and active community participation.

Event Format

Participating institutions will constitute contingents of up to 8 student delegates. The first day, 12 September 2026, will feature a series of competitions through which participants can engage with the event’s themes through different forms of creative and intellectual expression. These include:

  • Quiz

  • Declamation / Oratory

  • Short Film & Multimedia Reel Making

  • Social Startup / Business Plan Pitch

  • Policy Drafting

The second day, 13 September 2026, will transition from competitive activities to the Youth Conclave, featuring distinguished speakers and thematic panel discussions addressing contemporary issues at the intersection of health, law, society and youth leadership.

Youth Conclave

The Youth Conclave will feature the following discussions:

“Code, Clause, and Cure”

10:30 AM — 1:00 PM

A discussion focusing on empowering youth leaders to navigate the legal frontiers of modern healthcare.

“Breaking the Silence”

2:00 PM — 4:00 PM

A discussion examining the role of educational institutions in health advocacy, stigma reduction and student support mechanisms.

The event will conclude with a Valedictory & Award Ceremony, including the felicitation of competition winners.

Registration & Participation

Participation is open to recognised colleges and universities across India. Each institution may register one contingent comprising a maximum of 8 student delegates.

The registration fee is ₹4,999 per contingent, covering participation in the competitions and associated event facilities. Detailed competition rules, eligibility requirements, registration procedure and other relevant information are provided in the official brochure.

Prizes

Participants will compete for cash prizes, trophies and certificates. The first prize for each competition carries a cash award of ₹1,100, while the Overall Best Contingent will receive a cash prize of ₹11,000 along with a trophy. Participation certificates will also be provided to participants.
