Fox & Mandal advised Century Plyboards (India) Ltd on the launch of its ‘Total Cover’ warranty initiative, including drafting the comprehensive Total Cover warranty policy and the endorsement agreement with Aamir Khan for the associated campaign.
Century Plyboards’ Total Cover initiative represents a significant departure from conventional plywood warranties. In addition to replacement of defective plywood, the warranty extends coverage to certain associated furniture-making costs, including laminates/veneers, adhesives, labour and transportation, for claims arising from defective plywood. The initiative has been positioned as a first-of-its-kind warranty commitment in the plywood industry.
Fox & Mandal team acted as legal counsel to Century Plyboards in relation to the initiative and advised on and drafted the legal documentation underpinning the Total Cover programme, including the customer-facing warranty policy and the celebrity endorsement agreement with Aamir Khan supporting the launch and credibility-led campaign.
