About MNLU Mumbai
The Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, established under the MNLU Act No. VI of 2014, is one of the premier National Law Universities in India. The prime goal of the University is to disseminate advanced legal knowledge amongst the students and impart in them, the skills of advocacy, socio-legal research, and policy formulation, and to prepare them for utilizing these skills for social transformation and comprehensive development.
About the Course
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) – IPR Chair, MNLU Mumbai and the University’s Centre for Research in IP (CRIP) are organising ‘One Week Online Certificate Course on Patenting System in India’. This online course is meticulously designed to impart legal and practical knowledge on the Indian patenting system, from evolution of patent system to guidance on conducting searches, patentability criteria, filing, drafting, interpreting and prosecution of patent applications, maintaining, commercialisation, licensing, assignments and enforcement mechanism under the Indian Patents Act.
Apart from IPR academicians, faculties for the present course include senior officials of the Indian Patent Office and reputed IPR professionals who are known for their knowledge and expertise. The course shall benefit all those engaged in manufacturing, services, businesses (especially MSMEs and Startups), IP education and research by enriching their knowledge, skill and expertise. The course shall also be helpful for those aspiring to appear for the patent agent examination.
