About the Vivekanand Legal Conclave

The Vivekanand Legal Conclave (VLC) serves as the flagship National Inter Collegiate Law Fest of VES College of Law, designed to provide a dynamic platform for law students across India to engage, compete, and excel. The Conclave evolved from the National Moot Court Competition, which ran successfully for six editions before transforming into a multidisciplinary legal fest.

Competitions

The 3rd edition comprises the following competitions:

1. Moot Court Competition

Registration Fee: ₹3,000/-

This event simulates real courtroom proceedings to test participants’ legal acumen and advocacy. One participant from each Moot Court team must participate in the PIL Drafting Competition.

2. Client Counselling Competition

Registration Fee: ₹2,500/-

A realistic simulation of client lawyer interactions where participants demonstrate advisory and empathetic counselling skills while upholding professional ethics.

3. Debate Competition

Registration Fee: ₹2,000/-

Encouraging structured argumentation on contemporary socio legal issues, this event offers a platform for articulate discussion and persuasive reasoning.

4. PIL Drafting Competition

Registration Fee: ₹500/-

Designed to foster a sense of social responsibility, this competition engages participants in drafting effective Public Interest Litigations that address pressing societal issues.

Eligibility Criteria

The Fest is open to all bona fide students currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate law programs (3-Year or 5-Year LL.B. Courses, or LL.M.) at recognised institutions. However, for the Debate Competition, participation is open to bona fide students from all streams and disciplines, and is not restricted to law students.

Last Date for Registration: 6th December, 2025 (11:59 PM IST)

Competition Dates: 9th — 11th January, 2026

Registration Process:
Teams must fill out the individual competition registration forms. Registration will close once intake capacity is reached.

Awards

The total prize pool for the 3rd Vivekanand Legal Conclave, 2025-26 is worth ₹2,00,000/-, rewarding excellence across all competitions and categories.

Further, all Participants shall get a one month access to the SCC Online Web Edition valued at Rs. 3100/- each.
