The Supreme Court Collegium comprising of Dr Justice DY Chandrachud, the Chief Justice of India, Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice BR Gavai, on 24-04-2024 recommended the appointment of 1 Permanent Judge and extension of term of 2 Additional Judges for Chhattisgarh High Court and extension of term of 1 Additional Judge for the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Chhattisgarh High Court
The Collegium recommended the appointment of Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey as Permanent Judge of the High Court of Chhattisgarh.
Furthermore, the Collegium recommended Justice Sachin Singh Rajput and Justice Radhakishan Agrawal’s appointment as Additional Judges for a fresh term of one year with effect from 16-05-2024 and 02-08-2024 respectively.
Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court
The Collegium recommended Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Additional Judge, be appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh for a fresh term of one year with effect from 03-06-2024.
