The Legal Aid Committee and Pro Bono Club (PBC) of Tamil Nadu National Law University are thrilled to invite you to Lafesto’24 – Our annual Legal Awareness Carnival aimed at fostering legal awareness and insightful conversations!

Lafesto’24 is back with its third Inter-University chapter, promising to be bigger, better, and more impactful than ever before! Since its inception in 2016, Lafesto has been a dynamic platform for merging legal insights with practical impact. This year, we’re expanding our horizons by inviting young minds from various disciplines of higher education and schools to join us in promoting legal awareness and societal change. Featuring a diverse range of events and competitions, Lafesto’24 promises thought-provoking discussions and captivating competitions on contemporary legal issues.
Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:
👉 Eyalvathu Karavel (Create Legal Awareness): Teams will engage with residents of La Festo Village to uncover legal issues and provide legal advice through awareness programs and petition drafting.
👉 Therukoothu (Street Play): Showcase your ability to provide legal awareness creatively through a combination of Acting, Lyric Writing, Singing and Dancing.
👉 PIL Drafting: Exhibit your drafting skills and advocate for meaningful change by tackling a given problem through drafting a Public Interest Litigation.
👉 Poster Making: Unleash your creativity to create visually appealing posters that raise awareness about the Nyaya Bandhu Scheme and inspire legal professionals to engage in pro bono activities.
👉 Legal Awareness Quiz: High school and higher secondary school students can participate in a two-round quiz competition focused on imparting general legal knowledge.
👉 Panel Discussion: Join us in an insightful panel discussion on “Challenges faced by Legal Education Institutions in effectively facilitating Legal Aid Clinics – The Way Forward”. Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students. Renowned scholars in the field of law and legal aid will delineate the challenges encountered by Legal Aid Clinics and explore possible solutions.
👉 Street Vendors Awareness Initiative: Join us in spreading legal awareness to street vendors through informative awareness sessions highlighting various support schemes available to them.
