In a series of Notifications issued on 30-01-2024, the Ministry of Law and Justice notified the appointment of 7 Additional Judges as Permanent Judges and 1 Additional Judge for fresh term of one year.
Permanent Judges Appointed
The President of India in exercise of the power conferred by Article 217(1) of the Constitution, appointed the following Judges as Permanent Judges-

Additional Judge Appointed
The President of India in exercise of the power conferred by Article 224(1) of the Constitution, appointed Justice Subhendu Samanta, Additional Judge of Calcutta High Court, to be an Additional Judge of the Calcutta High Court, for 1 year w.e.f. 18.05.2024.
