Established in 2003, the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is a multidisciplinary institution renowned for its industry-aligned curriculum and leading-edge specialisations. UPES enables the new generation of learners to realise the best in themselves and the world they will help shape. Located in the serene locales of the Himalayan foothills, the university has a sprawling 44-acre campus and state-of-the-art infrastructure. It offers specialised undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Management, Law, Health Sciences, Design, Modern Media and Computer Sciences.

UPES has established unique partnerships with industry pioneers, as well as academic collaborations with universities across the world. UPES’ membership with various international forums promotes the exchange program. The university has over 50 Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with global partners and several active associations with international bodies.

Established with a vision to foster intellectual discourse, global awareness, and leadership skills, the UPES MUN Club stands as a beacon of excellence within our academic community. At the heart of our club lies a passionate commitment to providing a platform for students to engage in stimulating debates, simulate international diplomacy, and cultivate a deep understanding of complex global issues.

Subsequently, our Model UN conferences attract participants from global institutions to the heart of our country. Breaking through with Uttarakhand’s first University level Model UN conference in 2012, UPES has paved its way to host, for the eighth time, The UPES International MUN 2024 after the overwhelming popularity garnered by its previous iterations.

The UPES MUN Club is beyond thrilled as it presents to you the highly anticipated 8th International Model United Nations Conference 2024. The conference will take place on the 27-28th January 2024, and you are requested to join us as we embark on a transformative journey of discourses of global significance.

The conference will be hosted at the picturesque Bidholi Campus of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. Nestled in the embrace of nature, our college campus serves as the perfect canvas for intellectual stimulation, offering a picturesque setting that inspires creativity and fosters academic excellence. With state-of-the-art facilities and lush surroundings, the venue encapsulates the ideal environment for the International UPES MUN Conference, where minds converge and ideas flourish.

    Agenda: Narco terrorism and Financial Laundering: Unraveling the Nexus and Global Implications.

  • International Press: Illuminating the conference through the lens of media, capturing and disseminating insightful perspectives on the unfolding discussions and decisions, International Press will be the perfect stimulation of one of the most powerful institutions in the world- The Media.
