The Collegium comprising of Dr Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, the Chief Justice of India and Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice B.R. Gavai and Justice Surya Kant on 24-08-2023 reiterated their recommendation dated 23-08-2023 to transfer Justice Nani Tagia (currently a Judge of Gauhati High Court) to the High Court of Judicature at Patna.
Justice Tagia had requested the Collegium that he may be allowed to remain at any of the Benches of the Gauhati High Court or be transferred to the High Court of Tripura. However, upon due consideration of the submissions made by Justice Tagia, the Collegium deemed it fit to reiterate their recommendation.
