Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in partnership with SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) is organizing a Virtual Global Industry Conference on the theme “The Emerging Economic Scenario: Identify and Create Competencies”, on July 23, 2020, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

The conference aims to deliberate upon the impact of ongoing changes on economy, the swift transition towards digital interface and its impact on new-age competencies, need for effective synchronization between industry & academia, and identifying new grounds for international collaborations.

Globally, COVID-19 crisis is expected to wipe out 6.7% of working hours in the second quarter of 2020 – equivalent to 195 million full-time workforce. Workers and businesses are facing catastrophe, in both developed and developing economies.13% of global firms have already started their transition towards complete ‘digital workplace’. There are shifts in business models, which are leading towards redefining ‘gig economy’. In the changed scenario, labour market will not just expect new workforce to adopt functional skills but also skills such as creativity, innovation, complex problem solving, cognitive abilities, resilience and social skills. Therefore, focus on building digital skills; productivity and collaboration skills will be critical for continued success. Career counseling, Talent Mapping, Promoting virtual internships etc. could be pre-requisites for Industry-Academic effective engagements.

We would like to invite you and/or nominate a senior official from your organization to register for the  Virtual Conference. You may register by clicking HERE . A draft program is attached here for your reference . Please note that there is no registration fee.
