About the Competition
The 5th National Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition, 2020 is the fifth edition of the flagship event of ADR Board, SLCU. The 5th NADR aims to create a platform for like-minded individuals with an interest in ADR to indulge in an intellectual and thought-provoking competitive simulation of Negotiation, Mediation and Client Counseling.
Mediation: A 3-member team consisting of a Mediator, Advocate and Client.
Negotiation: 2 Negotiators per team
Client Counselling: 2 Advocates per team
The competitions will be held from 16th January 2020 to the 18th January 2020. The brochure holds detailed information regarding the competition.
Eligibility
Only bonafide students of Law Colleges/Universities pursuing a Three Year/Five Year Degree in law are eligible to participate in the competition. Participation allotments shall be made on the basis of slots re-served from provisional registration for the respective Law College/University.
Only one team representing a Law College/university can take part in each event, implying that a maximum of 3 teams shall be permitted to take part in the Competition.
A participant can take part in only one event in the Competition and every Law College/University has the liberty to take part in one, two or all the Events. However, it must be noted that there must be separate teams for each event representing the College/University in the Competition and that, a maximum of 7 students shall represent their Law College/University in the Competition.

Mediation
- Registration fees: Rs. 4,500/-
- Members per team: 3 (1 Mediator, 1 Client, 1 Advocate)
- Time Limit: 30 minutes
Negotiation
- Registration fees: Rs 3,000/-
- Members per team: 2
- Time Limit: 30 minutes
Registration Procedure
Please note that the application process is the same for all three competitions (ie. Mediation, Client Counseling and Negotiation).
University Provisional Application: The provisional application is available on our Official Blog, Social Media Accounts-Facebook and Instagram, Lawctopus and will be sent via mail for universities requesting the same.
Team Application Submission: The application forms for the teams will be sent via email to individual universities that have registered and got shortlisted through Provisional Registration. The teams shall then register for the event through the registration form sent via email.
Registration fee and Accommodation charges: The details regarding registration fee and accommodation charges will be communicated to the teams who have complied with the rules regarding the previous steps. Please note that the registration fee and accommodation charges are separate and not inclusive.
Note: Teams seeking accommodation services will be incurring the costs of the same separately.
