S.O. 503(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (3) of Article 77 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961, namely:—

  1. (1) These rules may be called the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Three Hundred and Forty-Seventh Amendment Rules, 2019.

     (2) They shall come into force at once.

  1. in the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961—

         (a) in THE FIRST SCHEDULE, under the heading “6. Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Vanijya aur Udyog Mantralaya)”, for the sub-heading “(ii) Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (Audyogik Niti aur Samvardhan Vibhag)”, the following sub-heading shall be substituted, namely:—

         “(ii) Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (Udyog Samvardhan aur Antarik Vyapar Vibhag)”;

            (b) in THE SECOND SCHEDULE,–

            (i) under the heading “MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (VANIJYA AUR UDYOG MANTRALAYA)”, under the sub-heading “B. DEPARTMENT FOR PROMOTION OF INDUSTRY AND INTERNAL TRADE (UDYOG SAMVARDHAN AUR ANTARIK VYAPAR VIBHAG)” as so substituted, after the entry 4A., the following entries shall be inserted, namely:—

                ‘4B. Promotion of Internal Trade, including Retail Trade.

                 4C. Welfare of Traders and their Employees.

                 4D. Matters relating to facilitating “Ease of Doing Business”.

                 4E. Matters relating to Start-Ups.’;

           (ii) under the heading “MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD AND PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION (UPBHOKTA MAMLE, KHADYA AUR SARVAJANIK VITARAN MANTRALAYA)”, under the sub-heading “A. DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS (UPBHOKTA MAMLE VIBHAG)”, entry 1 shall be omitted.
