ILS Law College, Pune invites papers for Two Day National Conference on “Dialectics and Dynamics of Interface of Public Law in India”.

About

 ILS Law College established by the Indian Law Society in 1924 is one of the premiere legal institutions in the country catering legal education to Indian as well as International students. In order to transcend beyond the set curriculum of University and to expose students to current developments of different aspects of law, the College has several Centers and Cells; Centre for Public Law being one of them.

Papers are invited on the theme of socio-political aspects of the public law, focusing on the following topics:

  1. Constitutional regulation of formation of Coalition Government in India.
  2. Critical reflections of Hon’ble Supreme Court Judgements in Association of Supreme Court Advocates on Record and Ors. v. Union of India, decided on 16th October 2015.
  3. Efficacy of Concurrent List under Indian Federalism.

Deadline

The final date for submitting abstracts (500 words in MS Word format) is Tuesday 31st December, 2015.

The abstract will be reviewed by an academic committee and the shortlisted ones shall be informed through mail by 5th January 2016.

 Full paper shall be submitted by 20th January 2016. (3000 words inclusive of footnotes and references, in Times New Roman, font size 12 and margin of 1 inch) in MS Word format.

Acceptance of final paper will be considered as registration for participants in the Conference.

Registration

Registration is open for both participation as well as presentation of paper.

The registration fee is 1000 INR for faculty and lawyers,

100 INR for students of ILS Law College, Pune and 200 INR for non-ILS students.

Electronic Transfer. Details: Indian Bank, Deccan Gymkhana Branch A/c No: 490076558, IFSC Code IDIB000D007, name of the beneficiary: ILS Law College.

Kindly mention in the remarks that this money is for participation in the Two day Public Law Conference. Faculty and students making online payment shall also mail their details (i.e. Name, College, Mobile No and Transaction Id) to centreforpubliclaw@gmail.com.

Students shall also mention their class.
Cash or Demand Draft: Students can also register in person with above details in the office of Dr. Sanjay Jain, ILS Law College from 11.00 am – 3.00 pm, excluding holidays, in Cash, or by Demand Draft drawn in the name of ‘Principal, ILS Law College’, Pune.

The registration fee of the students includes reading material, tea during the sessions and certificate of participation.

 The registration fee of the faculty and lawyers includes reading material and certificate of participation, lunch on both the days, tea and snacks,

The certificates shall be provided during the valedictory session at the end of the Conference on 31st January 2016. Please note that only those participants and paper presenters who shall attend and participate in all the sessions of the conference shall be entitled to receive the certificate.
