Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM) acted as legal counsel to MIH Ventures One B.V. (“Prosus”) in relation to subscription of securities in the Series B round of investment raised by Equal Identity Private Limited (“Equal AI”).
The transaction involved Prosus’ subscription to securities as part of a broader Series B round, which saw participation from multiple global and domestic investors. The total round size was approximately USD 30 million.
Founded by Keshav Reddy, Equal AI started as a data-sharing and identity infrastructure company before entering the business of consumer AI systems in October, 2025. The Company’s AI caller assistant solution enables users to screen spam calls, identify callers, understand call intent and perform actions on behalf of users.
The SAM transaction team advising Prosus was led by Harshita Srivastava, Partner, with support from Vidhisha Ambade, Senior Associate and Nidhi Singh, Associate.
