Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026: Administrative Penalty Regime for Stamp Sale Violations under the Court Fees Act
With effect from 8 July 2026, the Jan Vishwas reforms to the Court Fees Act, 1870 replace criminal penalties for stamp-related violations with civil penalties and establish administrative adjudication and appeal mechanisms.
