Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of 5 Retired Judges as Ad Hoc Judges of Allahabad High Court

Earlier in 2021, the Court issued guidelines and “trigger points” for the activation of dormant Article 224-A of the Constitution of India.
Some members of the Andhra Pradesh State Judicial Service had claimed that the service rendered by them as District & Sessions Fast Track judges on Ad-hoc basis was not considered for elevation to the Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
“Article 224 A should not be made a dead letter, more so when the need is so pressing.”
