Samosa and tea direction Delhi High Court

Delhi High Court: In an application seeking waiver of costs, a Single Judge Bench of Saurabh Banerjee, J., waived the costs with a direction to counsel for the petitioners to distribute samosas and tea to all the employees of the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) within 1 week.

The Court while considering an application seeking waiver of costs of ₹50,000 imposed vide order dated 20 August 2026, allowed the application and waived the costs imposed by the earlier order, considering the factual matrix involved.

However, while disposing of the application, the Court directed counsel for the petitioners to distribute samosas and tea to all employees of the DHCBA within 1 week.
