NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad is delighted to announce the 19th edition of the Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Moot Court Competition, to be held offline from 2nd October 2026 to 4th October 2026, at the NALSAR campus. Organized in collaboration with the Justice Bodh Raj Sawhny Memorial Trust, and supported by the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, the BRS Moot has evolved into one of the most awaited constitutional law moots in the country.
Over the years, it has earned a strong reputation for the clarity and depth of its propositions, usually grounded in live constitutional debates. It has stood out for the quality of its judging panels, including leading jurists, senior advocates, legal scholars, and former judges. The competition sees participation from top law schools across India. Over 100 teams registered in the last edition alone. The competition pushes participants to think critically not just about legal provisions, but how the Constitution works in practice, and how it shapes institutions, rights, and governance.
This year’s proposition has been drafted by an expert team from the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy, which centres on nuanced and evolving issues of constitutional interpretation and institutional accountability.
