President Appoints 2 Additional Judges Punjab and Haryana High Court

On 3 July 2026, the Appointments Division, Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, notified the appointment of two Additional Judges as Permanent Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

As per the notification, the President of India, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 217(1), Constitution of India, appointed the following Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court as Permanent Judges with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices:

  1. Justice Harmeet Singh Grewal

  2. Justice Deepinder Singh Nalwa

The appointments give effect to the recommendation made by the Supreme Court Collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, in its meeting held on 2 June 2026. Justices Harmeet Singh Grewal and Deepinder Singh Nalwa were appointed as Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in February 2025, pursuant to the Collegium’s recommendation dated 17 October 2023.
