Kerala Cabinet Portfolio Allocation 2026: Ministers, Departments & First AI Portfolio in India

On 20 May 2026, the General Administration (Protocol) Department of Kerala issued a notification vide which the Government of Kerala has allotted the Business of the Government among the ministers under Rule 5 of the Rules of Business of the Government of Kerala.

List of Ministers and the allotted Business of the Government are as follows:

2. K A Thulasi:

   • Development of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes

3. Bindhu Krishna:

   • Labour

   • Animal Husbandry

   • Dairy Development

   • Milk Co-operatives

   • Women and Child Development

   • Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University

4. O J Janeesh:

   • Sports

   • Youth Affairs

   • Zoos

   • Museum

   • Registration

   • Archaeology

   • Archives

5. P K Kunhalikutty:

   • Industries and Commerce

   • Information Technology

   • Artificial Intelligence

   • Start ups

   • Mining and Geology

   • Handlooms and Textiles

Kerala has become the 1st State to create a dedicated Artificial Intelligence portfolio at the Cabinet Level.
