Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, under the leadership of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal at the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal. The MoU marks a significant step towards strengthening academic cooperation, research collaboration, and institutional engagement between the two premier legal education institutions.
The Memorandum of Understanding has been executed with the objective of promoting academic and institutional collaboration between the two universities in areas including teaching, training, research, publication, and student and faculty exchange programmes. The collaboration will also facilitate joint academic events, seminars, conferences, and interdisciplinary initiatives aimed at enhancing legal scholarship and professional development.
As part of the agreement, both institutions shall work towards collaborative research projects, exchange of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral scholars, and academic interaction among faculty members and researchers. The MoU further provides opportunities for Ph.D. scholars to access academic resources and engage in research supervision and collaborative scholarly activities.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment of HPNLU, Shimla and NLIU, Bhopal towards advancing legal education, promoting innovation in research, and fostering institutional excellence through collaborative academic engagement. The Memorandum of Understanding shall initially remain valid for a period of five years and may be extended through mutual consent. The signing of the MoU signifies another important milestone in HPNLU’s continued efforts to build meaningful academic partnerships with leading national institutions and to create wider opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers in the field of legal education and research.
