Government appoints IAS Sanjay Malhotra as the 26th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India

The 25th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Shaktikanta Das, served at the post for 6 years.

On 9-12-2024, the Ministry of Finance notified the appointment of IAS Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, Department of Revenue as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India for a duration of three years commencing from 11-12-2024.
