About the Event

To provide everyone with an opportunity to showcase their intellect and creativity, the LDS is organizing this All India Essay Writing Competition with the themes being diverse and inclusive of various topics in discourse that have arisen during the contemporary times. This competition aims to foster dialogue, innovation, and collaboration in interdisciplinary studies and also encourage the authors to voice their perspectives and refine their writing skills.

Theme — ‘Fiction’s Reality: Literary Engagements with Life’

Sub-Themes

1. Legal Narratives: Fictional Journeys through Ethical Landscapes

2. Stories of Change: Literature as a Force for Social Progress

3. Words of Justice: Literary Engagements with Constitutional Principles and Debates

Registration Guidelines

  • The Registration for the competition shall be done through this form. Once participants have registered, the submission link will be shared on their registered email IDs.

  • Co-authorship is permitted up to two individuals per essay.

Timeline

  • Registration Deadline: July 25, 2024

  • Submission Deadline: August 15, 2024

  • Result Declaration: September 10, 2024

Registration Fee

  • Single author: Rs. 300

  • Two authors: Rs. 500

Prizes

  • Winner: Cash Prize of Rs. 5000

  • 1st Runners-up: Cash Prize of Rs. 3000

  • 2nd Runners-up: Cash Prize of Rs. 2000

  • Top 5 selected essays will be published in the LHSS Blog

  • E-Certificate of Merit to Top 10 participants

  • E-Certificate of Participation to all
