The Executive Council of Maharashtra National Law University Aurangabad has unanimously approved (in principle) the menstrual leave policy for the students proposed by The Executive Council of the Student Bar Council of the University.
The menstrual leave policy is a student-led initiative aimed at achieving the objective of gender justice in the University. As per the policy, the beneficiary will be able to avail 1 menstrual leave per month, which is at par with Medical Leave and shall not require any Medical Certificate, subject to fulfillment of minimum attendance criteria of 67% as prescribed by the regulation.
The Beneficiary can avail the benefit of Menstrual Leave by filling up the Menstrual Leave Application prescribed under the said policy. The detailed policy will be officially notified shortly and implemented accordingly.
