On 23-2-2024, the Ministry of Home Affairs notified the effective date of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
Effective date of 3 Criminal Laws:
1. Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023- the provisions will come into force on 1-7-2024 except Section 106(2).
2. Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023- the provisions will come into force on 1-7-2024.
3. Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023- the provisions will come into force on 1-7-2024 except the provisions of the entry relating to section 106(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, in the First Schedule.
