ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Established in 2009 under Act IV of 2008 in the state of Odisha, National Law University Odisha (NLUO) is a distinguished addition to India’s national law universities, located in the historic city of Cuttack. In less than a decade, NLUO has become known for its focus on teaching and research in law, aiming to provide a world-class legal education. The university has garnered recognition through student achievements in various competitions. NLUO has successfully organized the flagship “International Maritime Arbitration Moot” (IMAM) for ten consecutive years, attracting top minds in maritime law and arbitration.
DETAILS ABOUT THE EVENT
NLUO in collaboration with Bose & Mitra & Co. presents the 11th NLUO-BMC IMAM 2024 which will be conducted in two rounds- first, where the top twenty teams will be selected out of all the registered teams based on written submissions and these twenty teams will compete in the oral rounds scheduled to be held from 14-17th March 2024 in an offline format at National Law University Odisha, Cuttack.
ELIGIBILITY
All participants must be students pursuing either undergraduate or postgraduate law courses (including LL.M. programs) or its equivalent conducted by any recognised institution. No student licensed to practice law is eligible to participate in the competition. Each participating institution is entitled to send only one team to the competition, comprising students from the Undergraduate or Postgraduate law course or both. Team members must be bona fide students of the institution they are representing.

FEES DETAILS
Indian teams must pay an initial preliminary registration fee of INR 3000, while overseas teams are required to remit USD 50. Qualifying teams for the oral rounds will incur an additional final registration fee of INR 8000 for Indian teams and USD 100 for overseas teams. The final registration fee covers accommodation on competition days and transportation to and from the competition venue.
