The Supreme Court Collegium comprising of Dr Justice DY Chandrachud, the Chief Justice of India, Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice BR Gavai, on 18-01-2024 resolved to recommend names of Judges and Judicial Officers to be appointed as Additional and Permanent Judges in the 3 High Court of Calcutta, Jharkhand and Kerela. The recommended names are as follows-
Calcutta High Court
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the following names of three Additional Judges for appointment as Permanent Judges-
(i) Justice Shampa Dutt (Paul),
(ii) Justice Raja Basu Chowdhury
(ii) Justice Lapita Banerji
Furthermore, The Collegium has recommended the names of two Additional Judges for appointment as Permanent Judges and for appointment of an Additional Judge for a fresh term of one year, in the High Court-

Justice Ananya Bandyopadhyay and Justice Rai Chattopadhyay be appointed as Permanent Judges of the High Court.

Justice Subhendu Samanta be appointed as an Additional Judge for a fresh term of one year with effect from 18-05-2024.
Jharkhand High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the name of Justice Pradeep Kumar Srivastava, Additional Judge, for appointment as a Permanent Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the name of Arun Kumar Rai, Judicial Officer, for appointment as a Judge of the High Court of Jharkhand.
Kerala High Court
The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the name of Justice Shoba Annamma Eapen, Additional Judge, for appointment as a Permanent Judge of the High Court of Kerala.
