New Delhi, August 28, 2023: Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (“SAM & Co.”) is pleased to announce that Rohit Bajaj has joined the Firm as a Partner in the Real Estate Practice. He will be based out of the Firm's New Delhi office and will be advising clients on all aspects of real estate transactions.
Rohit has 20 years of experience in the real estate space having advised on a variety of investments in the real estate sector, land acquisitions, joint ventures as well as has undertaken diligence of land spanning over 1200 million sq. ft. across 70+ cities in India. He has also advised on purchasing, selling, leasing, licensing, joint development and other advisory matters on all aspects of real estate laws.
In his diverse career, Rohit has advised almost all prominent developers on various projects across India and has advised a large number of private equity funds and foreign companies in relation to their joint ventures in India with Indian real estate developers in construction development projects, residential townships, commercial complexes, shopping malls, mixed-use projects etc. He has also advised institutional lenders, and borrowers on finance-related aspects of real estate across several end uses such as stores, warehouses, retail and commercial spaces.
Prior to joining SAM & Co., Rohit was working as a Partner with AZB & Partners, where he was heading their Delhi Real Estate practice. Prior to that he also worked with Bhasin & Co. and SK Agarwal & Co. as well as set up his own firm.
Rohit holds a Bachelor's in law degree from Campus Law Center, Faculty of Law, Delhi University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Punjab University. He has also been recognised as the “Recommended Lawyer for Real Estate” in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2021 rankings.
