National Company Law Tribunal, New Delhi: A Division Bench comprising Mahendra Khandelwal, J., and Shri Rahul Bhatnagar (Technical Member), directed the Resolution Professional (RP) to approach CoCs regarding payment of refunds to passengers of Go Airlines whose airline tickets have been cancelled.

In the instant matter, the applicant preferred an application before the NCLT under Section 60(5) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (IBC) seeking permission to make payments of refunds to the passengers of the Corporate Debtor whose airline tickets have been cancelled.

The NCLT directed that notice be issued to the respondent IBBI and also to the CoCs, requiring them to file their response and appearance in the matter. The NCLT allowed the RP to take up the matter with the CoCs on the refund issue.

The NCLT fixed the next hearing for 07-08-2023.
