On 16-12-2022, the Reserve Bank of India (‘RBI') has announced Series III and IV of Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2022-2023.
Applicability: applicable on Scheduled Commercial Banks, Designated Post Offices, Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd., National Stock Exchange of India Ltd., Clearing Corporation of India Ltd.

Under this scheme, there will be a distinct series for every tranche.

The date of issuance of bonds will vary for every series and the subscription under this scheme will open on the following dates only (Monday to Friday):

Series III- Date of subscription will be starting from 19-12-2022 until 23-12-2022 and date of issuance will be 27-12-2022.

Series IV- Date of subscription will be starting from 6-3-2023 until 10-3-2023 and date of issuance will be 14-3-2023.

Application: Subscription will be made in the prescribed Form A. The acknowledgement of receipt of the same will be made by the Receiving Office in Form B and the following has to be clearly stated by the applicant- the grams (in unit) of gold, full name and address of the applicant, PAN details.

Online applications should contain the email id of the applicant and the same, along with the subscription details, has to be uploaded on Ekuber portal of RBI.
