The Chief Justice of India, Hon’ble Shri Justice S.A.Bobde, who is also the Chancellor of MNLU, Nagpur released the third edition of the Annual Journal of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur- Contemporary Law Review (Vol.3,2019)  in an event organised by the collaboration of the University with Air Law Academy and Research Centre, Nagpur on 18th January 2020. This edition was a Special Issue in the Honor and Memorium of the pioneer of Legal Education in India, Prof. N.R. Madhav Menon.

The event also saw a simultaneous release of a new literary work by Hon’ble Shri Justice R.C Chavan titled – ‘More Cries in the Wilderness’ and is essentially
a collection of his articles and speeches post 2015 and focuses on his views in the legal field expanding from lawyers, judges and his critique of the recent events in the legal history.

The Chief Justice while addressing the gathering remembered the invaluable contributions of Prof. Menon in the India’s Legal Education and also elucidated upon his dream/idea for an institute that would produce only Judges.

The event was presided over by Hon’ble Shri Justice B.R.Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India, and was attended by pinnacles of legal field, few names among them include- Hon’ble Shri Justice R.K. Deshpande, Judge, High Court of Bombay (on the Dias), Hon’ble Shri Justice V.S. Sirpurkar, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India, Professor (Dr.) Paramjit S. Jaswall, Vice- Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab among others.
