The Legal Aid Committee, RMLNLU is pleased to announce the VI RMLNLU NATIONAL MEDIATION COMPETITION.
The Organising Committee has endeavoured to better the expectations after the success of the V edition and aspires to further its commitment of promoting ADR mechanisms by raising the bar higher for the VI Edition of the RMLNLU National Mediation Competition 2020. The objective is to widen the scope of the competition, by not letting it confined to the title of Mediation, but also other segments of ADR as well. The same will also be evidenced with the assistance of highly qualified professionals in these fields, looking to guide the participants at every stage of the competition.
The format of the Competition
A team shall consist of two members – one playing the role of a mediator and the other of a negotiator.
In its one-of-a-kind pattern, there shall be two mediators from different teams and two different negotiators (all four from different teams) competing against each other in a session.
Each team shall contest in two preliminary rounds. The top eight mediators and negotiators, based on their cumulative scores in both the prelim rounds, shall qualify for the quarter-finals.  The top four mediators and negotiators will make it to the semi-finals and the top two for finals.
Awards and Cash Prizes
The participants qualifying for the following titles shall be felicitated with trophies and cash prizes worth ? 50,000. Awards and Prizes include Best Mediator, Runner-up Mediator, Best Negotiator, Runner-up Negotiator and  Best Team. The semi-finalists shall also be enriched with resources in the field of ADR.
Registration Process
Participation in the competition is through invitation only. Any university/college/institute may request for an invite by sending us an email at rmlnlu.mediation@gmail.com before 28th October 2019.
The Competition has a team cap of 32 teams. While allotting slots to Universities; preference shall be towards the invited teams, while the teams that apply to the organizing committee will be wait-listed until slots are available.
Registration Fees per team is ? 4000.
